Significant Controllers and Designated Representative

According to the new requirements of the Companies (Amendment) Ordinance 2018, all companies incorporated in Hong Kong are required to recognize the significant control person(s) over the company, and provide the significant controllers register to law enforcement officers.

The significant controller must provide the required information in the significant controllers register, such as: significant controller(s)’ details and designated representative’s contact details. If there is no significant controller, the Company must mention this fact on the significant controllers register.

In this significant controller register, every company must have the least one designated representative for assisting the law enforcement officer.

We have completed the relevant register and appointed designated representatives for our clients to meet statutory requirements. If your company needs our help, please contact us to get things done as soon as possible, in order to reduce the risk of being fined.
